Tree Care and Nursery Operations Workshop October 19th

The Idaho Nursery and Landscape Association is sponsoring a tree care and nursery operations workshop on the Kearsley Tree Farm in Victor, Idaho, Wednesday October 19th, 2011.  The cost of the program is $15 and includes lunch.  Pre-registration is required by October 13th.  Questions will be answered at 208-681-4769,

The program will begin at 9 AM with a talk by Gerry Bates, certified arborist with the Idaho Department of Lands who will discuss and demonstrate proper pruning techniques.  This will be followed at 10:30 AM by John Fransen, with Wilbur Ellis, who will discuss pest control in trees.  At 11:30 Benn and Genna Kearsley will discuss the operations on their tree farm.

Lunch will be at the Garden Cafe at teh MD Nursey in Driggs, followe by a tour of hte MD Operation.

The Kearsley Tree farms is at 2750 W 7879 S, in Vicotor (208-787-4449) and MD Nursery is located at 2389 S. Highway 33, Driggs (208-354-8816).  Both arborist CEUs and pesticide liscence renewal credits are available.
