Bed Bug Epidemic?

Bedbugs are becoming and increasing problem for unsuspecting travelers.  Once thought of as being strickly a problem in low-class hotels or for people who practice poor hygiene, bedbugs are showing up in up-scale motels and hotels and showing little regard for the financial well-being of their new hosts!

Health & Welfare Bed Bug Website Now Available. We have been contacted by Leslie Tengelsen, DVM, from the Office of Epidemiology, Food Protection, and Immunization with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. Health and Welfare has developed an informational website, which can be found at http://www.healthandwelfare.idaho.gov/Health/DiseasesConditions/BedBugs/tabid/1591/Default.aspx.


She wants to let the public know that they can take suspected bed bugs to local Extension Offices for identification or have the sample sent to the UI insect identification lab. This is just a heads-up that Extension offices may be getting calls about this. Ronda Hirnyck has an Idaho Pest Management Center website that provides information on bed bugs and other pests. Go to http://www.uihome.uidaho.edu/ipm and click on pests. A list of pests is displayed and then click on bed bugs.

    I really hate bed bugs, they irritate me very much and they seem to be everywhere. Thanks for publishing this article because i needed it.bed bugs los angeles

    You are absolutely right, bedbugs are spreading as Epidemic. This is a great problem now a days to the people of this world. steri-fab bed bug spray can be a good solution of this problem. Also prevention is better than cure.
