Idaho Hay and Forage Conference February 27-28

The Idaho Hay and Forage Association is planning their annual conference for February 28-28th. The program is still under development, but the current subjects are scheduled to be discussed:

GMO Perception, Politics and Stewardship
Grass and Legume Varieties in Idaho
Irrigation and New Technology Workshop
Forage Weeds Workshop
Forage Trends
Dairy and Forage Market Outlook
Hay Storage Values and Losses

It is time to renew you membership in the Idaho Hay and Forage association or to joint for the first time. 
Benefits of Membership
  1. Name listed in the annual IHFA directory published in the spring of the membership year with the directory being mailed to a variety of organizations and locations for distribution, and building awareness that you are a producer of hay and/or forage products
  2. Name listed on the IHFA website as a producer - divided by geographical regions in Idaho
  3. Invitation to the following year’s annual meeting
  4. Weekly state and regional hay price report from USDA (each Friday)
  5. Represented as a member of Food Producers of Idaho
  6. Capitol Review on website each week of the legislature for updates on legislative activity in Boise (January – March)
  7. Hiring of lobbyist in Idaho Legislature
  8. Representation with National Alfalfa and Forage Alliance
  9. Industry exposure at a variety of events throughout the year – promoting the name of the Idaho Hay and Forage Association and hay and forage producers in Idaho
  10. Periodic information about schools, workshops, and grower information on the website when available and updates are provided
  11. Option to receive the Hoyt Report at a reduced price:  Non IHFA Member—$120.00; IHFA Member—$99.00
