Canola on its way to becoming a first-class crop

Winter canola might soon be the crop of choice for Pacific Northwest farmers, thanks to studies by an ARS agronomist and others who have shown that, with slightly different management practices, this annual plant can be used to control weeds, supplement animal feed, and even produce biodiesel.
