Learn how to grow your favorite veggies year round with minimal work and cost. We will discuss the pros and cons of several methods of growing vegetables year round in eastern Idaho. Methods include geo-air greenhouse, low tunnels, in-the-garden greenhouse, Walipini and cloches.

Vegetable Garden
Want to improve your ability to produce a bountiful harvest of fresh vegetables? The warm, dry nature of summer in our local climate can bring a unique set of challenges to vegetable gardening. Dr. Love will detail some of these challenges and provide ideas for getting the best out your situation. He will describe methods for ensuring a good stand, for growing superior cool season vegetables, for using shade to improve quality of leaf crops, for extending an inherently short growing season, for irrigating to best advantage, and for controlling diseases and pests
common to a dry climate. Even the most experienced
gardeners will learn a few new tricks.
