Barley
Yellow Dwarf is widespread in winter planted cereals. It is being reported in
winter barley, winter wheat, triticale, and in grasses along the roadside or
field edges. I will be traveling the area from Burley to Buhl tomorrow
(Tuesday) to get an estimate of damage and collect information on varieties,
insecticide treatments, rates, planting dates, etc.

Extensive
damage may warrant crop destruction - depending on incidence and availability
of water and nutrient management. I will send out a report as soon as possible
with an update.
Thanks,
Juliet
