This
full-time, permanent position manages beef cattle, under the direction of the
Superintendent, and supports research on grazing, animal health and animal
production at the University of California Sierra Foothill Research and
Extension Center, in Browns Valley, CA.
This position also supports and participates in an array of education and outreach programs at the Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of beef cattle husbandry, be able to move and work cattle on horseback, be able to understand and follow specific research protocols and use various software to track pasture management and livestock and work well in a team environment on a diverse range of research and ranch maintenance projects.
