Calling all Farms, Craftors, Guilds, and Groups to
FiberTrain Wool Festival 2014. The 3rd annual celebration of fiber
art past and present is two fun filled days of workshops, demonstrations, classes on fiber art and
sustainable farming, great food and shopping in historic Downtown
Nampa on May 25 & 26. This year classes are available from
guest speakers Deborah Robson and Carol Ekarius of Colorado,
authors of The Fleece & Fiber SourceBook, Field Guide to Fleece, Storey’s Guide
to Raising Sheep, Storey’s Illustrated Guide to Raising Poultry, and Hobby
Farming. Classes are affordable and include
titles like:

- Livestock 101
- Chickens 101
- Making the Most of Your Wool
Crop
- Selecting a Fleece
- Reversible Cable Knits
- Top Down Raglan Cardigan

FiberTrain Festival is looking for more Idaho farms, 4-H groups, or craft to participate
this year. Please visit the FiberTrain
Festival site (http://www.fibertrainfestival.com), find the tab “Become a Vendor” and download
the pdf application. They are offering FREE booths to 4-H groups, .Orgs, and
guilds that agree to info-only booths (no selling products), and 1/2 price booths to those
organizations that would like to sell. Sale of livestock is also allowed - and they
offer FREE LIVE CRITTER booths next
to you with your paid farm/business booth!
In addition to Vendor, Demo, and free booth opportunities, they
host a Fleece Sale & Contest.
There is NO ENTRY FEE per
fleece charged, and no limit on entries. You do not have to be a vendor to enter fleeces in the sale.
